Patricia M. “Pat” Zickefoose, 73, of Barkeyville passed away September 30, 2016 at home.

Pat was born in Sewickley on June 2, 1943 to Ray F. Carey and Nellie M. Shackelton Carey.

Pat received her education at Seneca Valley Pat married Charles “Fred” Zickefoose on June 8, 1966, passed away November 6, 2008.

Prior to her retirement she was employed at Safran’s Supermarket in Sewickley.

Pat was a active member of the Barkeyville Methodist Church. Pat served on Boro Council in Bell Acres PA for many years. She kept busy as a Den Mother for Pack 642, Cub Scouts, in Bell Acres. Pat was a member of the Order of Easter Stars, Parker Chapter 60 as well. She loved to spend time with family and her special friend Tom Friend of Bell Acres. Pat loved to sew and quilt and going to actions throughout the area. Ziggi her dog was great company for her. Pat looked forward to football season every year and cheering on her Pittsburgh Steelers, she even recently got into watching hockey and loved the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Loved ones left to cherish Pat’s memory are her children Joseph L. Zickefoose of Ambridge, David E. Zickefoose of Bell Acres and Fred Zickefoose and his wife Joyce J. of Hyndman. Also surviving are her grandchildren Josh Zickefoose and his wife Melanie of Florida, John Zickefoose and his fiancé Amanda of Beaver, Kimberly Zickefoose of Baden, Joseph Zickefoose of Baden and Alexis Zickefoose of Bell Acres. 2 great grandchildren Hayden Hegner and Ezra Zickefooose. Her brothers Charles R Carey and his wife Marilyn of Missouri and Dennis L. Carey and his wife Kareen of Florida. Her sister Debra A. Mertens of Florida. And her special friend Tom Friend of Bell Acres.

Proceeded in death by her parents and her husband Charles, a sister Sharon Oxford and her great grand daughter Lyla Jean Zickefoose.

A time of gathering will take place at Barkeyville Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will take place at 11 am at the church with Pat’s son Pastor Fred Zickefoose officiating.

Interment will take place at the Barkeyville Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Barkeyville Methodist Church in care of Carol McCullon 622 Old Route 8, Harrisville PA 16038.
