Betty J. Duffee, age 84, of Knox, passed away late Tuesday evening, October 4, 2016, at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville.

Born October 14, 1931, in Ashland Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde W. and Elsie Pierce Cotherman.

She retired from Owens-Illinois Glass, where she was a bottle packer.

Betty enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and yard sales.

She is survived by two sons: David D. (Linda H.) Duffee and Gary L. (Judy A.) Duffee; five grandchildren: Dustin and Derek Duffee and Erin (Ryan) Lockwood and Alesha Duffee and Missy (Chris) Plummer and nine great grandchildren: Kyra, Marleigh, Deagan, Isabella, Emma, Addison, Josie, Laughlin and McKenna.

Betty is also survived by her adopted family, Rhonda and Terry Troup and their daughter, Caroline; Brenda and Bob Croyle and their son, Nathan and Lisa and Pat Radaker.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Harold D. (Bun) Cotherman and his wife, Dee Jane and an infant sister, Reba.

At Betty’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox. Reverends Jay and Sue Montgomery will officiate over the service.

Interment will take place in the Starr Cemetery, Ashland Township, Clarion County.
