Nancy R. Sherman Wine, age 83, of David Lane Brockway, Pa., died on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

Born in Brookville, Pa. on July 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Emma Mabel Dinger Sherman.

In February of 1953, Nancy was married to Thomas A. Wine and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2010.

She was a homemaker.

Nancy was a member of the Falls Creek United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Lifts Club.

Nancy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and craft work. She also enjoyed golfing, bowling and taking an “occasional” trip to the casino.

Nancy is survived by a daughter Bobbie (John) Gankosky of Perrysburg, Ohio; a son Mike (Nancy) Wine of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter Becky (Rick) Opiela of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a brother Lee (Betty) Sherman of Spokane, Wash. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her beloved dog Paco, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by seven sisters: Ida, Althea, Dorothy, Etta, Emogene, Mary, Phyllis and three brothers: Walter, David and William.

As per her wishes there will be no public visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Falls Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Leon Blose officiating.

Burial will be in the Temple Cemetery at Hazen, Pa.
