57f94eb5a472aHazel I. Fisher, 81, of Knox, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at the caring place in Franklin.

Born on May 3, 1935, in Fertigs, she was the daughter of the late James and Myrtle Sharrar.

Hazel retired from Polk Center. She enjoyed the outdoors, birds and especially dogs. Crocheting was her favorite pastime. She was a longtime member of the Methodist Church in Fertigs.

Hazel is survived by 2 daughters Gwen Forsell of Greenville and Bonnie McVay of Lucinda, a son James Tack of Knox, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a sister Deloris Thomas of Fertigs.

Along with her parents Hazel was preceded in death by six brothers Leonard, Osman, Delmar, Arnold, Kenneth and Douglas and a sister Gladys.

At Hazel’s request there will be no viewing.

The family will receive friends from Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home 504 East Penn Ave., Knox. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Venango County Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Oil City PA, 16301
