State Police Calls: Retail Theft, Harassment, Public Drunkenness

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Retail Theft in Monroe Township

A retail theft occurred around 6:40 a.m. on October 8 at WalMart in Monroe Township.

This incident occurred when a known, 72-year-old Brookville man attempted to steal items by walking through the self-checkout from WalMart valuing $566.22.

The suspect was apprehended, processed, and charged with retail theft.

The name of the suspect was not released.

Harassment in Washington Township

An incident of harassment occurred around 1:30 a.m. on October 6 at a restaurant/bar in Washington Township.

Police say a known female and a known male engaged in an argument at the above described location.

Both individuals were cited for harassment.

The names of the suspects were not released.

Public Drunkenness in Clarion Township

State Police were contacted around 7:20 p.m. on October 6 about a suspicious person at a business parking lot in Clarion Township.

Upon arrival, 26-year-old Zakhary A. Trumbull, of Mayport, was found at the above described location. It was allegedly discovered that he had passed and and urinated in front of the entrance to the business, according to police.

Police say “he was subsequently found to be intoxicated.”

A cittion was issued to Trumbull for Public Drunkenness.
