5801199fa9222Irene Louise Freeman-Moore, 85, went to be with her beloved husband, Glenn on Thursday, October 13, 2016.

She was a resident of Grove Manor Persona Care, Grove City, for two years after living on Eau Claire Road, outside of Clintonville for over 60 years.

The daughter of Ella and Ralph Gibb she attended Wesley High School. She worked various food prep jobs as well as house cleaning. She married Glenn Moore on April 15, 1950 and they enjoyed 57 years together before Glenn’s death on May 26, 2007. She was the proud mother of 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Irene was 4-H leader with Scrubgrass 4-H for many years and her and Glenn were also superintendants of the vegetable building at the Venango County Fair for numerous years. As a 50+ year active member of the Clintonville Union Presbyterian Church she served as an elder, clerk of session, was active in t Baird-Simcox Women’s Association and was church treasure along with her husband for over 25 years. As an active member of the CVFD Auxiliary, she spent endless hours in the kitchen preparing meals to provide funding for the fire department. She served on the Clinton Twp. Election Board for many years as well as being involved with the Scrubgrass Grange locally and national.

She enjoyed the outdoors whether in her flowers beds, garden or picking fruit. Spending time with her family for every holiday and throughout the year brought much happiness to her and she will be missed greatly during these times. Irene loved watching her birds out the window and making sure the bird feeder was always full.

She is survived by her children: Pat (Ken) Beck of Grove City, Larry Moore of Mobile AL, Ed (Donna) Moore of Wexford and Earl (Angela) Moore of Emlenton. Her grandchildren; Brian (Heidi) Moore, Amy (Chuck) Larish, Mike (Pam) Beck, Christopher (Amy) Moore, Hillary Moore, Heather (Ron) Zak and Dana Hilty. As well as her great grandchildren; Kelsey Sullivan, Kasey Wick, Carter Moore, Nicholas Larish, Kyle Larish, Lucius Beck, Asher Beck, Grant Zak, Taylor Zak. Sister in laws Bette Moore and Louise Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her mother and step father, her brother Ken Freeman and her husband Glenn.

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Sunday, October16, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral services will take place at the Union Presbyterian Church, 409 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Monday October 17, 2016 at 11:00 am with a hour of visitation prior to the funeral. Rev. Kenton Shaw and Pastor Mark Yeager will be officiating.

Interment will take place at the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.
