Ronald Wade “Doc” Daugherty, 54, of Franklin passed unexpectedly but peacefully at his home Thursday October 13, 2016.
A son of Robert and Phyllis Books Daugherty, he was born in Oil City on May 5, 1962. “Crusher” was a 1980 graduate of Cranberry High School.
He was employed as a machinist at Joy, loved spending time outside, hunting and fishing, and sitting on the front porch of the home he and his wife built.
On February 14, 1987 Ron Daugherty married Cathy Strickland, the love of his life, his best friend, and the mother of his three children. She survives along with their three children Michael Wade Daugherty, Jennifer Daugherty and Samantha Daugherty all of Franklin. Completing his family are his parents, Robert & Phyllis Daugherty of Franklin, two sisters Lori Switzer and her husband Fred of Rockland and Amy Ginkel and her husband Mike of Oil City and a brother Steven Daugherty of Franklin.
He will be deeply and forever missed by his family and the many friends who loved him
Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St. from 9-11 a.m. and from 5-7 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m.
