Police Release Details on Knox Woman Victim of Email Scam

KNOX, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, a Knox woman is the victim of an email scam.

This crime occurred on September 30 as a known Knox woman attempted to sell a camera on eBay.

She was contacted by someone by email indicating that he/she had the winning bid.

The victim received what she believed to be confirmation emails from eBay and Pay Pal.

The victim mailed the camera to an address in Scottsboro, Alabama.

It was discovered that the emails she received were fraudulent, and she did not receive any money for the camera.
