PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A two-vehicle crash occurred yesterday morning on the Clarion River Bridge, on Interstate 80, in Paint Township, Clarion County.

According to Clarion-based State Police, this crash occurred around 10:29 a.m. as a 2014 Ford E250, driven by 48-year-old Rebecca J. Martz, of Mayport, was traveling eastbound in the left lane of I-80 on the Clarion River Bridge.

The pickup was changing from the left lane to the right lane and did not have enough space to get in front of a 2009 Kenworth Aerocab.

According to police, the pickup struck the Kenworth in the left front bumper area with the right rear quarter panel of the pickup. It then rotated clockwise in front of the Kenworth and was struck on the right side of the vehicle. It was pushed down the roadway by the Kenworth. The pickup then struck the bridge railing on the right with the right front bumper area.

Police say the pickup was still being pushed sideways down the road and crossed both lanes of travel and struck the bridge railing on the left. The pickup rotated in a counter clockwise manner and came to a final rest facing east in the right lane.

The Kenworth came to a final rest in the right lane facing east.

Clarion Hospital EMS transported both drivers to Clarion Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Rebecca Martz was charged with a traffic violation.

The pickup sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The Kenworth sustained minor damage.
