State Police Calls: DUI, Drug Arrest

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Elk Township

A DUI arrest was made around 2:26 a.m. on Sunday, January 8, on State Route 208, at the intersection of Huckleberry Ridge Road, in Elk Township.

Police say a known male was stopped for a traffic violation, and it was discovered that he was DUI.

He was taken into custody and transported to Clarion Hospital for a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) test.

DUI/Drug Arrest in Piney Township

A DUI/drug arrest was made around 1:53 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, on State Route 68, in Piney Township.

A traffic stop was initiated for multiple traffic violations on a black, 2005 Dodge Neon.

Upon approaching the car, an odor of Marijuana was emanating from it.

Drug paraphernalia was in plain view, and a search of the car yielded multiple other pieces of paraphernalia.

The operator — a known, 20-year-old Rimersburg man — was arrested, and the appropriate charges are pending blood results.
