Two Women Injured in Summerville Area Crash

CLOVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say two women were injured in a two-car crash on October 21, along Route 28 in Clover Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 4:37 p.m. on October 21, Brent E. Becker, 48, of Summerville, was attempting to make a U-turn in the three-lane portion of Route 28.

Emil Tristani, 63, of Butler, reportedly approached Becker’s vehicle from behind and was unable to bring his 2012 Volkswagen Jetta to a stop before rear-ending Becker’s 2003 Ford F-550.

Police say a passenger in the F-550 — Joan M. Harris, 62, of Brookville — suffered injuries of an unknown severity.

A passenger in the Jetta — Sherry L. Tristani, 55, of Butler — also suffered unknown injuries.

Becker and Emil Tristani escaped injury.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Summerville Fire Department and Jefferson County EMS assisted at the scene.

No charges were filed.
