The Golden Eagles enter the contests 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the PSAC West and are coming off a 42-17 loss at IUP last week, while Slippery Rock is 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the West after falling, 37-35, to Edinboro last week at home when the Fighting Scots got an untimed down on the game’s final play throwing a 2-yard touchdown pass after a pass interference call against The Rock.

The recent series has been dominated by Slippery Rock, which has won six straight over Clarion and 17 of the past 20. That includes all six “Milk Jug” games between the schools. The teams started playing for the “Mile Jug” trophy n 2010. The jug is painted half white with a green S one side and half gold with a blue C on the other side. Since the inception of the trophy, The Rock has won by a combined score of 215-80, an average of 22 points per game. That includes a 65-13 win at Slippery Rock last season.
