Police Release Details on Limestone Township Crash

LIMESTONE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on Forest Drive, at its intersection with Miller Road, in Limestone Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 7:37 a.m. on October 23, a 2004 Chevrolet Tracker, driven by 28-year-old Howard E. Carter, of Oil City, was traveling east on Forest Drive. Carter was attempting to negotiate a right curve and the vehicle stayed straight through the bend, hitting the embankment on the left side of the roadway.

The vehicle was found at a final rest straddling a ditch on the left side of the road, police say.

Carter reported a neck injury and was transported to Clarion Hospital for further treatment.

Carter was charged with a traffic violation.

The crash caused disabling damage to the Chevrolet Tracker; it was towed from the scene by Mark’s Auto.

Limestone Volunteer Fire Department and Clarion Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
