CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a rollover crash occurred on Interstate 80 at mile marker 66.2, in Clarion Township.

Police say this crash occurred around 9:06 a.m. on October 30 as a 2016 Ford Edge was traveling east on I-80 in the left lane, and a deer entered the roadway from the north side of the road into the path of the vehicle.

The driver of the car — 23-year-old M. A. Bricenoromero, of Bronx, N.Y. — swerved off the north side of the roadway to avoid the deer and then counter-steered causing the car to cross back across both of the eastbound lanes before exiting the road.

The vehicle impacted a tree and then rolled onto the driver’s side where it came to a final rest, according to police.

Bricenoromero and three male passengers — all of New York — were transported to Clarion ER for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Bricenoromero was charged with a traffic violation.

Clarion Volunteer Fire and Hose, Clarion Hospital Ambulance, Knox Ambulance, and Leadbetter’s Towing assisted at the scene.
