Shala B. Divins, 75, of Clarion, passed away on November 5, 2016 at Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

Born on July 15, 1941 in Dutch Hill, Perry Township, Clarion County, the daughter of the Elmer and June (Kreibele) Murry. She was married to Thomas W. Divins, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2001. Shala devoted her life to her family and keeping it together. She loved cooking and baking for them, and when she could, she enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her son, Barry Divins of Clarion; her daughter, Kimberly Best, also of Clarion; her four grandchildren, Tiffany Divins, Teena Bailey, Brick Divins and Tunnell Hindeliter; her seven great-grandchildren, Torrance Divins, Trenten Divins, Malakia Divins, Trista Bailey, Missy Bailey, Lizzy Bailey, and Thane Bailey. She was anticipating the birth of two more great-grandchildren in the near future.

In addition, Shala is survived by seven step-great-grandchildren; her brother, Paul “Buck” Murry of Kittanning; her brothers-in-law, Dennis (Bridget) Divins of Clarion and Richard “Macky” (Patricia) Divins of Sligo; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Melissa Divins; and a dear nephew, Jason Divins.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 13, at 2:00 p.m., at the Sligo Chapel Church, with Rev. Larry Pifer and Rev. Gene Hill officiating.
