Emlenton Woman Faces Aggravated Assault Charges After Allegedly Beating Two Women with Stick

EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton woman is accused of aggravated assault and related charges after allegedly beating two women with a walking stick at a residence in the borough of Emlenton, Venango County.

According to court documents, Emlenton Borough Police filed criminal charges against 35-year-old Stephanie Marie Graham, of Emlenton.

According to a criminal complaint, Emlenton Borough Police Officer O’Neil received a report of an assault that occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27.

The complaint states that the incident occurred at a residence in the borough of Emlenton. Stephanie Graham was inside the subject house, and a group of individuals stopped. For unknown reasons, she allegedly became upset and irate when a known woman entered the house. She began beating up the known woman and another known woman pulled Graham off her. The two women ran to the car while Graham chased them with a walking stick. Graham allegedly struck one of the women on the wrist with the stick and the other across the back with the stick.

Later that evening, one of the victims was taken to the Clarion Hospital for treatment. She allegedly suffered a laceration to the right jaw and a possible fracture of the wrist. The other victim allegedly had a black eye and suffered a bruise on her left shoulder blade, and a bruise on her back, according to the complaint.

Based on the investigation, a criminal complaint was filed against Graham in District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office.

She was arraigned at 10:30 p.m. on November 5, on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Assault, Felony 1
  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 1
  • Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary (two counts)
  • Disorderly Conduct Engage In Fighting, Summary (two counts)

Graham is free on $20,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on November 9 in Venango County Central Court.
