Emlenton Woman Escapes Injury in Crash in Richland Township

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon, along Airport Road, in Richland Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 1:23 p.m. on November 8, Carol A. Runyan, 28, of Emlenton, was traveling east on Airport Road.

Runyan was reportedly approaching the intersection of West Home Road when a St. Petersburg male driver failed to stop at a properly posted stop sign and pulled into the path of Runyan’s 2015 GMC Acadia.

Police say Runyan attempted an avoidance maneuver, but impacted with the other vehicle in the passenger side rear fender.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts during the accident and were not injured.

Runyan’s vehicle sustained disabling front end damage.

The other vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear fender.

Runyan’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Snyder Brothers Towing.

The male driver was charged with a traffic violation.

The name of the male driver was not released.
