Gas Line Ruptured, Fire Ignited After Truck Crashes into Woods

BEAVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Authorities have released information surrounding a November 8 crash in Beaver Twp., Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police say Gerald Dunkle, 89, of Callensburg, was traveling southbound on Canoe Ripple Road around 2:30 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons.

Dunkle’s 2015 Toyota Tacoma traveled into a wooded area and ruptured a gas line, resulting in a fire.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

Dunkle was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle sustained minor damage.
