Clarion County Real Estate Assessments Total $407.5 Million; CYS Funding on Display

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — The Clarion County Commissioners had several items on their agenda at their Monday meeting, including real estate assessments.

Clarion County real estate assessments total $407,564,771.00, according to the Clarion County Offices of GIS and Assessment.

Per capital count is 19,374 and occupational value is estimated at $3,519,917.00, according to figures reported at a recent meeting of the Clarion County Commissioners.

Other items discussed:

– The month of November was proclaimed Adoption Awareness Month and National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.

– Eugene Metcalf of Sligo was named a farmer director of the Clarion County Conservation District Board, and Steve Ketner of Sligo was approved for a five-year term of the Clarion County Housing Authority Board of Directors.

– County expenditures for October 21 to November 4 were approved for The General Fund, $372,649.19 and Human Services, $236,015.03.

– The amount of state funding provided to Clarion County for human services was on display when renewals for Children and Youth Services were approved for the current fiscal year from July 1 to June 30, 2017.

  • PA Family Support Alliance, of Harrisburg, for parent support groups in Clarion County, Cost: $6,150.00, County Match: $1,230.00
  • Pope, Drayer, French & Heeter P.C for solicitor services, Cost: $40,000.00, County Match: $8,000.00 max
  • Big Brother/Big Sister of Venango, Forest, and Clarion counties for youth mentoring services, Cost: $15,000.00, County Match: $3,000.00
