SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (D9Sports) – A pair of results this past week in postseason play has helped vault Karns City into a tie for the top spot in the Nov. 15 Allegheny Grille of Foxburg D9Sports.com District 9 Football Rankings.
The Gremlins (9-2) handled Perry Traditional Academy with ease to win the District 8-9 Class 3A title, while Clearfield (10-2), which was tied with Kane for the top spot dropped a decision to Johnstown in the District 5-6-9 Class 4A title game. Meanwhile, Kane (12-0) beat Clarion by seven to take home the District 9 2A title. Karns City beat Clarion by three-plus touchdowns earlier this year thus the tie for the top spot.’
