State Police Calls: Car Catches Fire After Colliding with Deer

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Deer Causes Crash in Licking Township

State Police responded to a one-car crash that occurred around 12:53 a.m. on November 15, along Canoe Ripple Road in Licking Township.

According to police, Joshua M. Faulkner, 26, of Rimersburg, was traveling south on Canoe Ripple Road and struck a deer.

After striking the deer, Faulkner’s 2007 Saturn Ion reportedly caught fire.

Police say the vehicle came to rest on the roadway after traveling approximately one-quarter mile.

The fire was extinguished by a nearby resident.

Faulkner was wearing a seat belt during the accident and was not injured.

Harassment in Richland Township

State Police say a harassment incident occurred around 2 p.m. on November 1, at a location in Richland Township.

According to police, the known actor got into an altercation with the known victim.

No further information is available at this time.

Retail Theft at Walmart in Monroe Township

According to State Police, a retail theft occurred around 5:05 p.m. on November 15, at the Walmart located on Perkins Road in Monroe Township.

Police say the male and female Reynoldsville suspects concealed $115.00 worth of inventory before they were caught by Walmart personnel.
