Joyce HartleJoyce L. Hartle, 88, of 101 Innis St, Oil City, died Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at her home.

Born October 12, 1928 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Ollie and Grace Perry Van Dyke.

Joyce was a member of St. Stephen Church.

She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, reading, baking and cross-stitch.

On November 5, 1949, she married Eugene J. Hartle, who preceded her in death on February 20, 2005.

Surviving are 10 children, Michael Hartle and wife Kathy of Coal Township, Pamela Kline and husband Fred of Oil City, Susan O’Neil of Oil City, Edward Hartle and wife Barbara of Oil City, Linda Morrison and husband Michael of Oil City, Stephen Hartle and wife Beverly of Oil City, Patricia Yasurek and husband Michael of Gowanda NY, Kimberly Pratt of Warner Robins GA, Mary Jane Sherman and husband Robert of Winnabow NC, and Joyce Coogan and husband David of Oil City; 21 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Morrison, a great grandson, Joshua Snow, a brother, Harry Van Dyke and a sister, Irene Deitrick.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday in St Stephen Church with the Rev., Matthew Ruyechan, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Stephen Church Second Century Fund, 210 Reed St, Oil City or the Oil City Library, 2 Central Ave, Oil City.
