Kevin M. Vargason

5831d606cd235Kevin M. Vargason, 38, of Oil City, PA, formerly of Tionesta, PA, passed away on Friday evening, November 18, 2016 following a lengthy battle with liver disease.

He was born in Warren, PA on May 6, 1978, son of Roger and Rhonda (Vargason) Harman of Tionesta.

Kevin graduated from West Forest High School in the class of 1996. He had worked at Danella Corporation, and as a cook for various restaurants in Venango County. He enjoyed soccer, skateboarding, and skiing, and had recently taken up painting. His children were the most important thing in his life. He loved attending their sporting events and coaching their soccer teams. Kevin’s world revolved around the happiness of his three children, Kessa, Kaia, and Kruz. His wish at the end was to be reunited with his maternal grandmother, Margaret Vargason, in heaven.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, Roger and Rhonda (Vargason) Harman, are his three children: Kessa Vargason of Franklin, PA and Kaia and Kruz Vargason of Oil City. He is also survived by his brother, Kyle Harman of Nashville, TN, his paternal grandparents, Arthur “Bud” and Nina Harman of Tionesta, and his maternal grandmother, JoAnne Vargason, of West Hickory, PA. Several aunts and uncles also survive: Keith and Janie Vargason of Erie, PA, Craig and Yolanda Vargason of Pleasantville, PA, Faith Sager of Tionesta, Tammy Hunter of Tionesta, Nora and Ben Galina of Tionesta, Lora “Minnie” and Rich Wadlow of Oil City, Roxanna and Glenn Johnson of Tionesta, Ron Harman of Nashville, TN, and Becky and Rob Greathouse of Tionesta. Kevin is survived by two very special cousins, Lisa Kuhn and Matt Vargason, with whom he shared a close relationship, along with several other cousins. He will be sadly missed by Stacy Dunkle, Justin Perry, and several close friends in Oil City.

Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Samuel and Margaret Vargason, and his uncle, Dave Sager.

No public visitation is planned. Friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home, 161 Elm Street, Tionesta, PA 16353, with Pastor Earl Flick of Canoe Ridge Church of God officiating.
