Isabell “Dis” Geist, 86, of Mayport, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, peacefully in her sleep.

She was born Jan. 20, 1930, in Ringgold Township, a daughter of the late Ira E. Pearl Isabell (Burkhouse) Wyant.

She was married to Harold “Tot” Geist, who preceded her in death in March 2012.

Isabell was a graduate of Dayton High School. She attended Countryside Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, flowers and spending time with her family.

Isabell is survived by three children, Randy Geist of Mayport, Jane Shumaker of Mayport and Ruth (Brian) Geer of Worthville; two sisters, Maxine Wyant of Brookville and Nancy (David) Rummell of Fairmont City; a brother, Melvin (Judy) Wyant; three grandchildren, Seth (Amber) Shumaker, Rebecca Hinkle and Willy Hinkle; three great-grandchildren, Nikita, Nathalie and Lillian Shumaker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Isabell was preceded in death by four sisters, Irene Leasure, Clara Potts, Eleanora Heberling and Elizabeth Beck; and four brothers, James, Robert, William and Jack Wyant.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Pendley officiating.

Interment will take place in Worthville Cemetery.
