William H. Blauser

blauser,william h 001William H. Blauser, 88, formerly of Oil City, PA. , died at 11:40 P.M. Saturday Nov. 26, 2016 at Golden Living-Walnut Creek in Erie after an extended illness.

Born Feb. 4, 1928 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Orrin Blauser & Katherine Brown Blauser.

William was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was married to the former Alberta C. Blauser and she preceded him in death on Aug. 21, 2016.

William had worked for the State Highway, General Electric in Erie and retired from Foster Forbes Glass Plant in Oil City where he was a mold cleaner.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church.

William enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He was an oil painter and enjoyed painting outdoor scenes.

He is survived by three children and their spouses, William Blauser Jr. & his wife Karen of Oil City, Greg Blauser & his wife Chrissie of Oil City, and Catherine Stiller & her husband Tom of Erie.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Shelly Blauser, Jennifer Magness and Nikolas Blauser, Tom Stiller Jr., Matt and Sean Stiller, Kristen Brown and Patrick Blauser; and four great grandchildren.

He is also survived by five sisters, Jean Davison of Sunville, Elizabeth Khein of Florida, Virginia Broscious of Baltimore, Peggy Hockman of Coal Hill, Pat Karns of Franklin; and one brother Orrin Blauser of Oil City.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Catherine McDonald and Mildred Miller and 3 brothers
Wade, Bob and Oliver Blauser.

Friends will be received from 12 noon-1:00 P.M. Thursday Dec. 1 in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:15 P.M. with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan, Presiding.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Second Century Fund.
