Clarion Man Accused of Asking Woman to Perform Sexual Act on Young Boy

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Clarion man is facing charges of sexual exploitation of children after he allegedly propositioned a woman to perform sexual acts on a young boy.

According to court documents, Clarion-based State Police filed criminal charges against 28-year-old Johnny L. Pennington, III, of Clarion.

According to a criminal complaint, around 1:00 p.m. on November 22, Clarion Children and Youth Services (CYS) contacted PSP Clarion advising they had received a phone call from a known woman who stated that Johnny L. Pennington, III, had propositioned her to perform oral sex on a 7-year-old boy while he watched.

The known woman stated that Pennington sent her a snap chat message detailing what he wanted to watch her do and that the thought of it brought him sexual pleasure.

The known woman showed police a screenshot of the snap chat message from Pennington. The known woman stated that “she knew without a doubt that the message came from him.”

Police viewed the messaged that was sent and it was confirmed that Pennington asked the known woman to perform a sexual act on “(a juvenile boy) and that he would get pleasure from watching.”

Pennington was arraigned at 10:00 p.m. on November 23 on the following charges:

– Sexual Exploitation Of Children Offense Defined, Felony 2
– Endangering Welfare of Children — Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense

Unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on December 6 in front of Magisterial District Judge Duane L. Quinn.
