Joanne T. Winkler, 80, of Sligo, formerly of Clarion, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo.

She was born on April 10, 1936 in Pittsburgh; daughter of the late Russel and Anna When Smith.

Joanne was first married to Kenneth Thoma Sr., who preceded her in death. She was then married to Joe Winkler, who also preceded her in death.

She was a Physical Therapist Assistant for a number of years.

Joanne had a strong Christian faith.

She is survived by two sons, Ken Thoma Jr. and his wife Judy of Venus and Rich Thoma and his wife Janet of Petrolia, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two sisters.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two brothers, and a sister.

There will be no public visitation.

Services will be announced at a later date.
