OI1967930561_zack001Steven Charles Zacherl, 59, of 1515 Riverside Dr., Oil City, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at his home from natural causes.

Born August 10, 1957 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of Norma G. Karg Zacherl and the late Eugene M. Zacherl.

Steve was a 1975 graduate of Venango Christian High School.

He enjoyed being a handyman, working on his truck and his house.

Steve was a fan of the New York Jets and the New York Yankees and followed NASCAR.

He was a member of the Fryburg Sportsmans Club.

He had been previously employed by Zacherl Coal Co., Pennzoil, Pepsi and IA Construction and was currently working for Sonneborne.

Steve was a member of St. Stephen’s Church.

He is survived by three children Steven Tanner Zacherl of Florida, Justin Charles & Ashley Zacherl of Seneca, and Sam & Amber Zacherl of Oil City; two grandchildren Aubrey Jo and Ethan Charles Zacherl; his mother Norma G. Zacherl of Oil City.

He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters Jeanne Zacherl of Oil City, James Zacherl of Erie, Mary Davis & her husband Charles of Seneca, Henry Zacherl & his wife Bonnie of Titusville, David Zacherl & his wife Deb of Oil City, Constance Schwabenbauer & her husband Chris of Oil City, Brian Zacherl & his wife Renee of Fryburg, and Robert Zacherl of Oil City.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father Eugene M. Zacherl

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Monday in St. Stephen’s Church. Friends will be received in the vestibule of the church.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Garden.
