Danielle “Dani” Lynn Smith, 22, of Oil City went to be with the Lord on Saturday Dec. 3, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Danielle was born Feb. 2, 1994 in Franklin, PA., the daughter of Joseph Smith & Dara Shontz, both of Oil City.

She was a 2012 Graduate of Oil City High School and was a member of the choir.

Danielle will be remembered for her quick wit and her kindness. She was known for her compassion and was an advocate for many causes, especially animals and autism awareness.

Danielle was always hoping to brighten someone’s day with inspiring quotes and scripture. She enjoyed all animals and had a green thumb and could make anything grow.

In addition to her parents , both of Oil City, she is survived by a brother Mark, who Danielle was a devoted caregiver for, her Paternal Grandfather Thomas L. Smith of Brenham, TX, her Maternal Grandfather Lyle Shontz & his wife Louise of Oil City, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by special friends Tabitha Gorman and Gayle Downey.

She was welcomed into heaven by her grandmothers, Nancy J. Shontz and Helen Smith.

There will be no viewing or visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. in the Oil City First Church of God with Pastor Rev. Brenda Snedden presiding.
