BUTLER CO., Pa. (EYT) — Butler-based State Police say a fatal shooting occurred Sunday night in Chicora, Donegal Township, Butler County.

PSP Butler investigated a homicide that occurred at 405 East Slippery Rock Road, in Chicora.

Police say 30-year-old Joshua Crawford, of Chicora, got into a verbal argument with 30-year-old Sarah Crawford, also of Chicora. Joshua Crawford was in the process of leaving his residence to get out of the situation.

According to police, he allegedly grabbed his hunting rifle and started to leave. He then pointed the rifle at Sarah Crawford and pulled the trigger, striking her.

Criminal Homicide charges were filed on Joshua Crawford, according to police.
