Pitt Basketball Tops Buffalo, Penn State Falls to George Mason

PITTSBURGH (EYT) — Behind six players in double figures, Pitt topped Buffalo, 84-79, at the Petersen Events Center Wednesday night.

Michael Young and Cameron Johnson each scored 17 points for the Panthers with Jamel Artist, back after a one-game suspension, with 16 tallies. Chris Jones chipped in 12 points, and Ryan Luther and Sheldon Jeter each had 11 points.

Nick Perkins had a game-high 23 points with Blake Hamilton adding 18 tallies.

PENN STATE FALLS TO GEORGE MASON

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Marquise Moore had a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead George Mason past Penn State, 85-66, Wednesday at Bryce Jordan Center.

Otis Livingston added 18 points with Jalen Jenkins.

Payton Banks had 21 points to lead Penn State with Lamar Stevens and Shep Gardner each scoring 13.
