Police Release Details on Crash that Shut Down Route 208 for 8 Hours

SALEM TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police have released details on a recent crash on State Route 208, east of Ron McHenry Road, in Salem Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 9:50 p.m. on November 19, 44-year-old George B. McPherson, of Knox, was traveling east on Route 208 and failed to maintain his 2004 Lexus RX380 in its appropriate lane.

The car left the south side of the roadway and struck two utility poles before coming to a final rest down an embankment.

The airbags were deployed for the front two seats.

McPherson was not wearing a seat belt and suffered suspected minor injuries.

Knox EMS transported him to UPMC Seneca.

The roadway was closed for approximately eight hours.
