Clarion County YMCA Introduces Membership Savings Program

CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion County YMCA is rolling out an exciting new membership program this January.

“Buddy-Up for Fitness” is the new member referral program at the Clarion County YMCA. In the program, YMCA members may “Buddy-up” with a non-member or two non-members may join together. Either combination returns a 20% savings for each member on their adult or family membership each month.

“We know that people who work out together have a much higher success rate in reaching their goals,” said Michelle Murray, who designed the program based on similar programs at other YMCA’s across the country.

“The Clarion County YMCA has so much to offer, and we want more people to be able take advantage of it,” said Murray. “This exciting program will reward those who refer a family member or friend and the savings will last as long as they remain members.”

The program is simple. Refer an adult or family member and you both save 20%. The only catch is that you cannot receive two different discounts. If you are already getting a senior, single parent, scholarship, corporate, employee, or youth discount, you cannot receive an additional savings.

If one buddy leaves the YMCA, the remaining member has 30 days to buddy-up with a non-member in order to keep the Buddy-Up program rate.

Members may have more than one buddy in the program. This ensures if one buddy leaves, the referring buddy is able to keep saving. Only one 20% membership savings will apply no matter how many buddies you have.

“The Buddy-Up for Fitness membership savings is just the beginning of the journey with your BFF,” said Murray. “Buddies can work out together, participate in challenges, personal train together and more. We’re excited to launch this program in January.”

To kick off the program, the YMCA will host a January Buddy Challenge that encourages buddies to work out together at the YMCA. Members will receive entries into a drawing to win two large prize baskets when they workout together at the YMCA.
