Four Clarion County Football Players Named All-State in Class 1A

HARRISBURG, Pa. (D9Sports) — Four Clarion County football players were named to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers Class 1A All-State football team Monday including three from Clarion-Limestone and one from Redbank Valley.

Representing C-L are quarterback Brenden Makray, wide receiver Sam Leadbetter and offensive athlete Mike Macefe, while representing Redbank Valley is defensive back Brock Barrett.

In all, nine District 9 players earned Class 1A honors, while one earned Class 3A honors. The Class 2A and 4A teams will be released Tuesday.
