Police Release Details on Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 68

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say earlier this week, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 68, at its intersection with Bodenhorn Road, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 56-year-old Bonnie E. Bell, of Marienville, and 54-year-old Lawrence E. Haylett, of Franklin, were involved in the collision.

Around 9:01 a.m. on December 19, a 2007 Mercury Mariner, driven by Bell, was traveling south on Route 68. A 2004 International Harvester truck, driven by Haylett, was traveling behind the Mercury Mariner and hit the rear of the vehicle as it was turning right onto Bodenhorn Road.

Clarion Hospital Ambulance transported Bell to Clarion Hospital for possible injury.

Haylett was not injured.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

Haylett was charged with a traffic violation for following too closely, according to police.
