JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred yesterday morning on Heathville-Ohl Road, in Summerville, Beaver Township, Jefferson County.

Police say this one-vehicle crash occurred around 8:03 a.m. as a 2015 Toyota 4Runner — driven by Tracie L. Bugay, of Punxsutawney — was traveling northbound on Heathville-Ohl Road.

The Toyota was negotiating a steep downhill grade on extremely slippery road conditions, and Bugay lost control of it, causing it to exit the east side of the road.

The Toyota’s front end stopped; however, the rear end continued to slide down the hill in a clockwise manner impacting a tree off the east side of the roadway, according to police.

The Toyota came to a final rest off the east side of the roadway facing south.

Bugay was using a seat belt and was not injured.

The Toyota sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Walker’s Towing.
