JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Brockway man facing several charges included aggravated assault and kidnapping after allegedly smashing a woman’s head against a car window in front of her two children has waived his preliminary hearing and had the charges waived for court.

According to court documents, DuBois-based State Police filed criminal charges against 33-year-old Daniel Robert Holt, of Brockway after an incident in October.

According to a criminal complaint, at about 4:30 p.m., October 28, DuBois-based State Police were dispatched to Penn Highlands DuBois for the report of a domestic assault that resulted in the victim being thrown from a vehicle.

Police spoke with the victim who stated that she was in a physical altercation the previous night around 9 p.m. with her boyfriend Daniel Holt, who had allegedly been drinking, the complaint states.

According to the complaint, the incident began on Olivio Drive in Brockway. The victim stated that Holt asked her to go for a ride. The victim “suffered bruising from being bound at her feet, grabbed around her neck, and grabbed at the arms. She was bruised and lacerated from head to toe,” the complaint continues.
