CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — A river flood warning continues for the region.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following update at 4:29 a.m. on Friday, January 13:

Flood Warning

…The flood warning continues for the following rivers in Pennsylvania…

Allegheny River At Franklin affecting Venango COUNTY.

…The flood warning continues for the following rivers in Pennsylvania..

Allegheny River At Parker affecting Armstrong AND Clarion COUNTIES.

Allegheny River At Rimer affecting Armstrong AND Clarion COUNTIES.

Allegheny River At Mosgrove affecting Armstrong COUNTY

Allegheny River At Kittanning affecting Armstrong COUNTY.

Allegheny River At Natrona affecting Allegheny AND Westmoreland COUNTIES.

Allegheny River At CW Bill Young Dam affecting Allegheny COUNTY.

.Heavy rain and snowmelt across the Allegheny River basin will cause minor flooding along much of the river.

The River Flood Warning continues for,

The Allegheny River At Franklin.

* Until this evening, or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 4:00 AM Friday the stage was 16.5 feet.

* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast…Rise above flood stage early this morning and
continue to rise to near 17.6 feet by early afternoon. The
river will fall below flood stage this evening.

* Impact…At 18.0 feet, Parts of Franklin-Oil City Road flood.

SAFETY MESSAGE: Do not drive through flooded areas. The water may be deeper than it appears. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio for later developments.
