Local Woman Killed in Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Accident in Florida

BRADENTON, Fl. (EYT) — A West Sunbury woman was killed in a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident early Sunday morning in Bradenton, Florida.

According to a release issued by the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 12:49 a.m. on U.S. 41.

Ashley Hasychak, 24, of West Sunbury, Pa., was struck by a 2011 Lincoln Town Car while attempting to cross U.S. 41 near 55th Avenue West.

The vehicle was operated by Gary Moses, 54, of Bradenton.

Hasychak was transported to Blake Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Moses was not injured.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident.

Hasychak was a graduate of Moniteau Junior-Senior High School and Clarion University.

She was working as a Speech Language Pathologist at Jessie P. Miller Elementary School in Bradenton.
