CLINTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A local woman was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital following a one-vehicle crash Saturday on State Route 208 in Clinton Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police say the accident happened around 2:22 p.m. on State Route 208, approximately 1/2 mile east of Coal Valley Road.

Tammy D. Toth, 37, of Kennerdell, was traveling east when her vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons.

State Police say Toth’s 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix rotated clockwise and went airborne before striking a tree. It then began to barrel roll, crashing into multiple trees before coming to a final rest.

Toth was extricated from the vehicle by emergency crews from Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department and Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department.

STAT MedEvac transported Toth to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh for treatment of suspected serious injuries.

She was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, according to police.

Superior Ambulance and Hovis Towing also assisted at the scene.
