Elderly Clarion Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 68

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 68, at its intersection with BP Drive, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

Police say 27-year-old Cory J. Raines, of LeRoy, West Virginia, and 84-year-old Ella I. Henry, of Clarion, were involved in the collision.

According to police, a 2007 GMC Sierra — driven by Raines — ran a red light and struck Henry’s 2008 Ford Taurus on the driver’s side door.

Raines and two passengers — Justin T. Fisher, of Triadelphia, WV, and Richard S. Hackney, of Given, WV — were using seat belts and were not injured.

Clarion Hospital Ambulance transported Henry to Clarion Hospital for injuries of unknown severity.

She was using a seat belt.

Raines was charged with a traffic violation.
