State Police Calls: Attempted Suicide, Assault, Scattering Rubbish

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Attempted Suicide in Clarion Borough

According to state police, sometime between 3:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on February 4, an 18-year-old Clarion female “took a high dosage of prescription medication with the intent to cause harm to herself.”

The teen was hospitalized as a result of this incident.

The investigation continues.

Assault in Clarion Township

The state police are investigating an incident of harassment which occurred around 1:04 p.m. on February 1 on South 5th Avenue, in Clarion Township.

According to police, 22-year-old Matthew Asahel Mitchell, Jr., of Clarion, allegedly choked and pushed a known, 21-year-old Clarion female following an argument.

Scattering Rubbish Incident in Emlenton Borough

Police say around 11:38 a.m. on January 23, Trooper Sommers was conducting patrol and was dispatched a call in regards to a scattering rubbish incident along the Allegheny Trail.

An anonymous source noticed trash was deposited on the Allegheny Trail just north of the Barnard House, and they searched through the trash and located voided checks that contained Tyler J. Terwilliger’s name in the upper left hand corner.

Terwilliger has been charged with Scattering Rubbish.
