CLARION, Pa. — The YMCA is cooking up some fun on February 21st. Scenic Rivers YMCA CEO Tom Spence is challenging members to a Chili Cook-off at the YMCA.

“Bring your best chili and join the friendly competition,” said Jesse Kelley. “This will be a fun event for all that participate!”

The contest for the best chili will take place in the YMCA lobby. Chili will be judged by YMCA Members from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., or while supplies last.

Members will have the opportunity to take part in the contest and win a deluxe YMCA Chili Cook-off apron and a free month of membership at the Y. Registration is required by February 19 at the YMCA Member Service Desk.

There is no fee to enter the contest. Entrants are required to supply their chili in a large crock pot by 11:30 a.m. on February 21. Condiments are optional. The YMCA will supply the bowls and spoons.

Membership at the YMCA is about the connections, support, and inspiration that people give and receive through interactions with staff, other members, programs and volunteer opportunities. They are so much more than a gym.
