Limestone Woman Escapes Injury in One-Vehicle Crash in Beaver Township

BEAVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80 East at mile marker 57.4, in Beaver Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 11:30 p.m. on February 9, 20-year-old Tiffany J. Swanson, of Limestone, was driving a 2005 Jeep Cherokee on I-80 East in the right lane. The Jeep exited the roadway off the south shoulder and drove over the rumble strips.

Police say Swanson steered the vehicle to the left and lost control of it. It crossed both lanes, exited the roadway off the north shoulder, and struck an embankment in the median.

The vehicle sustained significant damage before coming to a rest in the median.

Swanson was using a seat belt and was not injured.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
