Tire Breaks Loose from Vehicle, Strikes Farmington Twp. Woman Sitting in Driveway

FARMINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — According to Marienville-based State Police, an accident occurred Saturday afternoon on State Route 36, across from North Clarion School, in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

Police say around 4:20 pm., a 2003 Ford F350 pickup — driven by a known, 16-year-old Chester, New York male — was traveling west on Route 36, towing a vehicle tow dolly.

For unknown reasons, the left tire of the dolly broke free and traveled off the roadway. It traveled through a yard and ultimately struck a known, area female resident who was sitting in a chair in her driveway, according to police.

Clarion Hospital EMS transported the woman to Clarion Hospital for suspected minor injuries.
