Clarion Boy Scout Troop 51 Competes in Annual Klondike Derby

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion Boy Scout Troop 51 recently competed in the annual Klondike Derby held at the Venango County 4H Fairgrounds.

Troop 111, from Seneca, is this year’s winning group.

The event was hosted by Troop 55, of Ninevah.

Twenty-four sleds competed in the event that comprised of 11 different skill stations.

Nineteen units and 174 youth participated in the event.

French Creek Council was chartered in 1972 it serves four districts in the Northwestern Pennsylvania area. The four districts cover six Pennsylvania counties and two Ohio Townships. There are roughly 180 units in the council consisting of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturing Units.
