SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The Clarion River Vally Strikers has opened the period for Spring 2017 notices of interest.

Notices of Interest (registration) are due by Feb. 19 and can be found at the organization’s website, www.clarionsoccer.com.

The Strikers compete in the highly competitive PA WEST Soccer League, which is part of US Youth Soccer, Region One and is associated with US Soccer and FIFA. The organization utilizes the Clarion County Park as its home field for it’s under 10 (U10) and under 12 (U12) teams and used Clarion University’s Memorial Stadium for it’s under 14 (U14) team this past fall.

During the Fall of 2016, the Strikers fielded five teams including one U14, two U12 and two U10.

Both the U10 teams finished the season undefeated among an 11-team league that stretched from Warren to Meadville to Sharon.

The U12 teams finished in fifth and ninth place out of 15 teams and the U14 team finished third out of eight teams.

The U12 teams finished in 5th and 9th place out of 15 teams and the U14 team finished 3rd out of 8 teams.
