CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:
Crash on I-80 In Richland Township
The driver of a tractor trailer was involved in a crash with another unknown vehicle on Interstate 80 on Sunday in Clarion County.
Clarion-based State Police reported that Robert Flick, 55, of Watsontown, was driving a 2000 International Harvester Eagle in the right lane when the unknown vehicle swerved into the right lane and hit the driver side mirror of the Eagle.
Flick lost control of the vehicle, and it spun around in a clockwise direction while sliding off the road and striking the guide rail before coming to a stop facing north and blocking the right lane.
The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene.
The Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department and Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
Elk Township Man Victim of Attempted Identity Theft
A known man was the victim of an attempted identity theft on Monday.
According to Clarion-based State Police, the Elk Township man’s personal information was used to create bank accounts at three different banks by an unknown person.
All accounts were closed before any transactions were made.
