Firefighters Extinguish Tractor-Trailer Fire on I-80, Clarion Township

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion Fire & Hose Company 1 was on site for about an hour putting out a vehicle fire on Interstate 80 on Tuesday evening.

According to Clarion County 911 Director Ron Wolbert, the call came in around 6:09 p.m., and crews worked to extinguish an engine fire in a tractor trailer cab.

Jefferson County also sent the Corsica Volunteer Fire Company. Clarion-based State Police assisted with traffic control to make sure the scene was safe for firefighters.

State Police did not have any more information on the owner or cause of the blaze.
