Traffic Stop Leads to DUI Arrest on Route 36

FARMINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A traffic stop on State Route 36 in Farmington Township, Clarion County, led to a DUI arrest.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 7:48 p.m. on February 15, Trooper Wissinger initiated a traffic stop on a blue, Dodge pickup for failure to maintain his lane.

Upon speaking with the suspect — a 34-year-old Franklin man — a strong smell of alcohol was emitting from him and the vehicle. The driver showed positive signs for Driving Under the Influence, police say.

The driver was placed under arrest for DUI.

The name of the suspect was not released.
